Halloween Lashes

I looove Halloween! I think I just like shopping for all the cool things that come out for Halloween. Especially Makeup made just for the holiday. Here are a couple of things I got to start my Series of 13 Looks for Halloween. The Spyder ones I used Last Year for work so sorry it looks a little used. More to come....

Inspiration: Pixiwoo Blog

I follow alot of other makeup/artist blogs. I've followed Pixiwoo when she was on You tube, watching their awesome tutorials, and just being inspired by them. They had a contest awhile ago to win a Tokidoki Brush set. Of course I entered. All you had to do was send them an Inspirational Pic that inspired you. I sent one but it didn't get picked :( but...they picked one that was amazing. So I decided I wanted to do it too. You can check out the blog and see what I am talking about and maybe find that they are awesome too and follow them as well. :) Here's mine. I only did eye not whole face.

I love Football!

Being from Minnesota my favorite team is of course the Vikings. Their colors are Purple and Gold. The mascot is a Viking, duh. I try to have fun when the games come on and show my support the only way I know how. I did 2 different looks.

Black and Red Smokey Eye tutorial

I was inspired by an old Avril Lagvine picture I found on the internet. She was wearing a very bright red shadow with black to smoke it out. I'm sure if there are any Avril fans out there, you know what I'm talking about. I didn't save the pic to show for comparison and believe me I tried to look for it. It was from some random site. It stuck with me for a while and I just decided to do it to get it out of my head. Beautiful for Blue or Green eyes. brings out the green in Hazel colored eyes.

How to:

  1. Apply a primer all over eyelid up to under brow. Use under lower lash if desired. I don't usually put primer under my lower lash because I use a waterproof eyeliner as a base for my shadows. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion

  2. Using Kat Von D 'Love and Fury' palette. Apply the red cream Bloodletting, to the eye lid. Blend well into crease. Any red eyeshadow cream will work although I havn't seen alot.

  3. Using Alice in Wonderland palette by Urban Decay, pat the color Queen, all over eyelid and into crease. The color is also known as Last Call.

  4. Using AIW palette again, apply color Jabberwocky (also known as Oil Slick), to outer 1/3 corner of eye and blend into crease. Leave some Queen color on the inner eye corner.

  5. Using AIW palette, apply color White Rabbit (also known as Polyester Bride), lightly under brow as highlight. I find patting the color on with a crease brush prevents any glitter fallout. Reapply if you need more color until you reach desired effect.

  6. Line upper eye lash with any black eyeliner. I used Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Zero.

  7. With same black eyeliner line bottom lashes and inner water line. Blend with smudge brush.

  8. Apply color Queen from AIW palette on top of smudged black liner.

  9. Finish with lots of mascara.

  10. Lashes are optional. I used Makeup Forever # 27 Laura
